YWCA of Cortland Holding Annual Dream Big Cash Raffle
The YWCA of Cortland is holding their annual Dream Big Cash Raffle where one person could win $5,000 cash. Only 250 tickets will be sold for the raffle with a second place prize of $1,000 and 3rd place of $500. All proceeds for the raffle will benefit the YWCA of Cortland’s four core programs: Aid to Victims of Violence, Child Care, Health & Fitness, and Mentoring.
The Dream Big Cash Raffle is now in its 6th year, originally starting back in 2018 to continue fundraising efforts throughout the year for the YWCA.
“The idea of holding a large cash raffle was so that we could have a simple way to bring in money for our programs while making it fun for our volunteers to sell tickets to friends, family, and coworkers,” said Kimberly Stevens, member of the YWCA Cortland Board and the Development and Communications Committee. “It gives community members another way to support a great local nonprofit organization besides attending events or supporting other fundraising campaigns.”
Tickets are $100 each and you must be 18 years or older to purchase a ticket. If all 250 tickets are not sold, a percentage of the prize money based on the total number of tickets sold will be given out. The winning ticket will be drawn at noon on Thursday, October 3rd, the YWCA will notify winners by phone or email.
Tickets may be purchased at the YWCA Cortland front desk during business hours.
