YWCA Hosting School Supply Drive For Youth in Cortland
The Cortland YWCA is holding a back-to-school supply drive through the Bridges for Kids mentoring program.
The drive will run from July 1st until August 20th, and supplies will be delivered to families by August 29th. This drive aims to ensure that children and their families can thrive during the school year. Requested school items range from quality backpacks with strong zippers, multi-subject notebooks, and of course, pens and pencils. The most requested home items include towels, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, and feminine products.
The program also created an Amazon Wishlist for most of these items for those who wish to contribute to the drive but cannot do so in-person. Online and in-person dollar donations are also available so the program itself can shop for the supplies.
Bridges for Kids is a non-profit youth program that encourages education, health, exercise, creative outlets, and new experiences. The program provides material assistance and activities to families in need by means of holiday dinners, gifts, and school supplies.
