YWCA Annual Meeting to Feature Guest Speaker Carole Coppens, Executive Director of YWCA of Bing and Broome County – To Discuss Local Housing Challenges


The YWCA of Cortland will have their annual Board of Directors meeting on Monday, May 13th beginning at 6pm in the multi-purpose room at the YWCA on Clayton Ave. in the City of Cortland. This year’s board meeting will feature Carole Coppens, who is the Executive Director for the YWCA of Binghamton and Broome County.

The YWCA of Cortland says Director Coppens will be discussing how their organization has worked through the housing challenges in Binghamton and Broome County and how they became a leader in developing solutions for those who are most vulnerable in the community.

“She has championed unique housing solutions that meet the ever-changing and growing needs of the Binghamton community. She will talk about how her organization has navigated local housing challenges to become a leader in developing critical housing solutions for the most vulnerable populations in their community.”

The YWCA of Cortland said in a release.

All members of the YWCA of Cortland and staff are invited to attend the meeting, but also members of the community who are interested in learning more about the organization. The YWCA says doors will open at 5:30 with socializing and complimentary light refreshments before the program begins at 6pm.
