YWCA ‘24 Racial Justice Challenge Begins Today – Registration Still Open

The YWCA of Cortland is inviting members of the Cortland area community to join them in participating in this year’s Racial Justice Challenge happening now through the 29th of April. Registration remains open and will be ongoing for the free virtual learning opportunity by the YWCA.

“The YWCA Racial Justice Challenge is designed to create dedicated time and space to build more effective social justice habits, particularly those dealing with issues of race, power, privilege, and leadership,” said Kelly Tobin, YWCA Cortland’s Executive Director. “The Challenge works to foster personal reflection, encourage social responsibility, and motivate participants to identify ways to dismantle racism and other forms of discrimination.”

The virtual learning opportunity will look into different equity and social justice topics every week with participants getting content to engage with weekly. Topics for this year’s challenge include: Bodily Autonomy, Financial Empowerment, Gun Violence, and Transportation.
