Working Families Party Endorses McGrath for County District Attorney

Democratic candidate for the Cortland County District Attorney’s Office, Elizabeth McGrath, has earned the endorsement of the Working Families Party of New York. In a release provided, the party says McGrath is a seasoned attorney with a strong commitment to justice and community services.


“Elizabeth McGrath represents the very best of what we stand for at the Working Families Party” said Working Families Party Committee member Mary Clark. “Her dedication to fairness, her extensive legal expertise, and her unwavering commitment to the people of Cortland County make her the ideal candidate to restore integrity and competence to the District Attorney’s office.”

McGrath is currently running against Republican Incumbent, Patrick Perfetti for this November General Election. McGrath has 13 years of experience as a prosecutor, previously serving under County DA’s Suben and Perfetti before leaving the county DA’s Office in 2020.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Working Families Party,” said Elizabeth McGrath. “This is a critical time for Cortland County and I am ready to bring transparent, accountable leadership to the District Attorney’s office. We need a system that respects the rights of all citizens and works for the betterment of our entire community.”

The Working Families Party continued saying McGrath’s vision for the DA’s Office is what the county needs, highlighting McGrath’s commitment to justice and her proactive approach in problem solving.
