Work Has Begun Removing Sidewalks on Main Street

The sidewalks on the west side of Main Street will start to be removed as part of the Main Street reconstruction, Crown City Rising reports. The sidewalks on Main Street between Groton Ave. and Orchard Street will continue to be removed through today (Friday).

In addition to the removal of the sidewalks, work continues through the western side of the street. The temporary asphalt on Main Street between West Court and Tompkins Street on the west side will be removed and will result in the closure of the western side of the street. With this, no parking will be allowed on this portion of Main Street.

The positive news is the good weather has helped construction make ample progress with work continuing on schedule. The latest updates on roadworks in the City of Cortland may be found at CrownCityRising.com.
