CORTLAND, N.Y. – Sydney Carpenter scored with 6:45 remaining to break a 3-3 tie and visiting St. John Fisher University defeated nationally 15th-ranked Cortland, 5-3, in a women’s lacrosse non-league matchup. St. John Fisher, which is among the receiving votes section of the latest Division III national poll, improved to 5-1 with the win. Cortland is now 3-3.
