Yesterday, around 8pm in the evening, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were called to a reported disturbance on Route 11 in the Town of Cortlandville.
Responding officers were informed that a female who was involved in the disturbance had left the scene and was currently walking on Route 11. Officer’s were able to find the woman, later identified as 45 year old Kathleen C. Stauber of Homer.
Once altered by police presence, Stauber fled from officers and proceeded to disrupt traffic before officers took her into custody. She was charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd, a Misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct, a Violation.
Stauber was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where she was processed and later released with an appearance ticket. She is due back in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
