Winter break begins for many schools in our area and AAA reports that warm weather destinations are the top pick for those planning to travel out of town for the week.
So far, 2023 has been a busy year for traveling with top destinations for winter break getaways being Orlando, Caribbean Cruising, Punta Cana, and Cancun Mexico. Travelers though, don’t just plan on flying to their destinations, many in our area are planning on making road trips with Florida as the top request for road map information.
AAA says many travelers are looking to make up for lost time after nearly three years of travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Concerns are still there for travelers, but for different reasons including getting stranded by a delayed or canceled flight with 78% mentioning the concern from a recent survey conducted by AAA.
No matter where you plan on going for winter break, it is important to plan ahead and give yourself enough time.
