UPDATE: “Wanted Wednesday” Fugitive Surrenders

Thursday morning UPDATE: Someone in his family saw that Alec Turshman, 18, was selected as the Wanted Wednesday fugitive of the week by Cortland City Police.

Turshman turned himself in Wednesday afternoon according to Cortland Police.

Cortland Police say a teenager from Willet is their “Wanted Wednesday” fugitive of the week.

Alec Turshman, 18, has an active Cortland City Court arrest warrant for failure to appear.

He was charged in 2016 with possessing an assault rifle and an illegal ammunition device.

Police say his last known address was in Willet.
