Back on June 26th the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Town of Willet for a call reporting that a 15 year old victim was run over by a UTV while at a graduation party.
The 15 year old suffered internal injuries and was transported to Upstate Medical Center for treatment.
Through an investigation by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department, officer’s determined that 32 year old Michael L. Townsend of Willet, NY was operating his UTV in a reckless manner that resulted in the 15 year old being run over.
Townsend was arrested on August 31st by Sheriff deputies and charged with reckless endangerment in the 2nd degree, a misdemeanor. He was processed and issued an appearance ticket.
