Whitney Point Asks Residents to Conserve Water Due to Dry Weather

Local News

The Village of Whitney Point is asking residents to conserve water. Due to a recent lack of rain, the village says water levels in the village wells are getting low.

The Village of Whitney Point issued an appeal on Monday for voluntary water conservation to residents on the public water system.

The mayor is encouraging residents to cut back on activities that take a high volume of water.

At this point, the conservation order is voluntary but if dry weather continues, the Village Board may consider making the order mandatory.

If residents have any questions, they can call the Village Office at (607) 692-4907.
