WellNow Urgent Care Officially Reopens in Cortland

The WellNow Urgent Care in Cortland on Route 222 next to Burger King, has officially reopened after being temporarily closed for over a year due to provider shortages in the region, Annie Keller with WellNow Urgent Care said to X101 News back in September. WellNow Urgent Care is a full-service urgent care facility that operates numerous locations nationwide.

“Urgent care centers provide a vital service to the community, particularly in areas where primary care providers are booked solid or are non-existent,” says Robert Biernbaum, D.O, Chief Medical Officer at WellNow Urgent Care. “WellNow offers more services than the average PCP, including X-rays and sutures, so patients can be treated right away without having to go to the emergency department, where they’ll face long wait times and an expensive bill.”

The Urgent Care is now open Mondays through Fridays from 8am to 8pm. It is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, according to their website. Patients may walk-in or reserve a time online.

The facility will provide evaluation and treatment for a full range of non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, and provide occupational medicine services.

WellNow originally opened back in February 2022 as only a COVID-19 testing center before closing temporarily months later.
