Cortland County Health Department issued its weekly covid-19 summary for October 4-10.
During this time, 70.3% of all new cases were amongst the unvaccinated.
The report includes:
- 138 new positives
- 4 new hospitalizations
- 1 new death
Currently, CDC data shows 60.1 % of the county population aged 12 and older are fully vaccinated. This represents an increase of just 0.4% from last week.
When broken down, the numbers show older residents are immunized at a much higher rate:
- 61.1% of adults 18 and up have both shots;
- 83.1% of those 65 and up have both shots.
