Cortland County health officials issued their weekly covid-19 summary yesterday (August 30).
The report contains data from August 23-29, during which time there were:
126 new positive cases (76.2% were unvaccinated)
8 new hospitalizations
0 new deaths
Community transmission remains high, as measured by CDC metrics.
Since Friday (August 27), the county added 44 new cases and three new hospitalizations.
Currently, there are 146 positives; 318 people being monitored; and eight people hospitalized with the virus.
A total of 23,894 residents have completed their vaccine series — this represents 57.3% of those 12+ and 50.2% of the entire county population.
