Today (April 3rd), the Cortland County Child Advocacy Center is asking everyone to wear blue to support positive childhood experiences for all children.
To show your support, the Child Advocacy Center encourages you to post a picture of yourself and/or group wearing blue to social media with the Hashtags #WearBlueDay2023 #GoBlue4NYKids #GreatChildhoodsNY and #GrowingBetterTogether.
Additionally, you can help raise awareness by planting a pinwheel garden to prevent child abuse. The blue pinwheels represent a safe, happy and carefree childhood that every child deserves to experience.
For those interested in planting their own pinwheel garden, you may visit the Advocacy Center at 60 Central Ave. in Cortland between the hours of 9am to 4pm. A pinwheel garden costs $20 and includes 10 pinwheels and 1 lawn sign. For more information you may call the Advocacy Center at 607-753-5087.
