Water main installation will be continuing on the west side of Main Street with construction crews working their way north. Today through Wednesday, the newly installed water mains will be connected to the existing infrastructure along North Main Street.
During the work, lane closures will be in place on Main Street, Groton and Clinton Ave, and North Main Street. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic, but traffic delays are expected in the busy area.
With the lane restrictions, commuters are being urged to find an alternative route to their destination through Wednesday. Parking on Main Street between Groton and Orchard Street is expected to be very limited.
