Our State Senator, James Seward will be in Cortland this afternoon (Wednesday) with the Joint Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction.
The task force will hold a public hearing on the heroin epidemic.
Local health care professionals, addiction experts, and public safety officials are scheduled to testify.
Dean O’Gorman, who lost his son to a drug overdose this spring, will also tell his story.
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend and observe the proceedings, 4-6 pm at the Cortland County Office Building Auditorium, or by webcast through Senator Seward’s website.
