Back on November 3rd, an investigation was opened by the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office into a larceny that had taken place at the Real Deals Store on Route 281 in Cortlandville. The investigation found 25 year old Joshua M. Price of Marathon, who was an employee at the time at the store, had stolen money from the store. Officers later obtained an arrest warrant for Price on the charge of Grand Larceny in the 3rd, a Felony.
On Wednesday, November 29th, officers conducted a traffic stop in Cortlandville, in which Price was the operator of the vehicle.
He was arrested for his outstanding warrant and while being searched, was found to be in possession of drugs. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th, a Misdemeanor.
Price was given an appearance ticket for the possession charge, but was arraigned via the Centralized Arraignment Process on his outstanding warrant and then remanded to Cortland County Jail. He is due back in Cortlandville Town Court in the month of December for both charges.
