Walden Place Named Best Memory Care for Syracuse Area in 2024 by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report has named Walden Place in Cortlandville one of the best senior living communities for the Syracuse area in 2024. In a release, Walden Place has been recognized as a 2024 Best Memory Care community.

U.S. News rated nearly 3,500 communities through several factors including resident and family members’ satisfaction with safety, care, community management and staff, value, and other services and amenities provided by the community

“Best Senior Living reflects U.S. News’ commitment to helping families navigate the important – albeit time-consuming – decision of researching and choosing a senior living community through trusted, data-backed community ratings,” said Sumita Singh, general manager of Health at U.S. News. “We are proud to recognize those communities that stand out as ‘Best’ by providing exceptional care and satisfaction, as directly expressed by residents and family members of residents who live and thrive in these communities.”

To be considered for the designation of Best Senior Living, U.S. News uses their statistical assessment of performance on consumer satisfaction surveys administered in the past two years, reflecting the viewpoints of over 400,000 residents and family members. U.S News says only the highest-rated communities in each care level earned a “Best” rating.

“Walden Place is humbled by this award and is proud of the team that made it possible.”

said Executive Director of Walden Place, David Canfield.

Walden Place in Cortlandville is home to an assisted living community with 60 apartments and a memory care neighborhood for 20 residents.
