Three important debates will air virtually this week featuring candidates for the 125th and 126th State Assembly districts, along with those vying for New York’s 22nd U.S. Congressional district.

NYS Assembly District 125 — Tuesday, October 13, 7:30 – 8:30 pm

Presented by LWV of Tompkins and Cortland Counties

Candidates:

  • Anna Kelles (D, WF)
  • Matthew McIntyre (R, L)

Questions to the candidates due no later than 9 am on October 13.


NYS Assembly District 126 — Wednesday, October 14, 7:30 – 8:30 pm

Presented by Leagues of Cortland County and Syracuse Metropolitan Area

Candidates:

  • Dia Carabajal (D/WFP)
  • John Lemondes (R/LP)

Questions to the candidates due no later than 9 am on October 14.


***These forums will be held via Zoom and streamed live on YouTube at this link and recordings will be available for later viewing here.

The moderator will be Laura Ladd Bierman, Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of New York State. Sheila Cohen, President of the Cortland League will be time keeper. All candidates have agreed to League guidelines.

Questions will be reviewed by the moderator and members of both leagues evaluated for inappropriate language, duplication, and importance to the local community.



U.S. Congressional District 22 — Thursday, October 22, 8-9 pm

Presented by Broome-Tioga League of Women Voters

Candidates:

  • Anthony Brindisi (Incumbent, D)
  • Claudia Tenney (R)
  • Keith Price (L)

**This debate will broadcast live on WSKG-TV and radio, moderated by WSKG Managing Editor, Gabe Altieri.
