Dr. Lloyd Darlow called into WXHC to speak about #CayugaHealthGivingDay, taking place over the course of 24 hours on June 30 and based online from midnight-to-midnight at www.cayugagivingday.org.
Cayuga Health announced earlier this year the cancellation of all of their annual in-person galas and fundraising activities.
This new virtual event will be hosted and organized by Ithaca-based GiveGab, using their non-profit giving platform.
In part, it will help replenish critical financial resources that have been depleted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Though the COVID-19 pandemic has been tough for all of us, one thing was reinforced: Our communities are behind us,” said Dr. Lloyd Darlow. “The overwhelming outreach from members of our community who donated PPE, food, tablets and other items that helped us care for those who need it is nothing short of amazing.”
Darlow is vice president for clinical integration at Cayuga Medical Center and president of the Cayuga Area Physicians Alliance.
