The City of Cortland Police Department have announced the arrest of four Cortland individuals after a large fight was called in to police at 14 Port Watson St. in the City of Cortland.
Yes, the entire fight began after one of the suspects became upset over the length someone was using the bathroom. The other suspects involved then had gotten upset at one of the individuals being the “Bathroom Police” Cortland Police reports.
Through the investigation by Cortland Police Officer’s it was determined that 39 year old Robert Williams of Cortland, had menaced 35 year old Karl Doktorich of Cortland, with a metal pipe and then grabbed Karl by the Throat.
It was then 36 year old Travis Thompson, listed as homeless in Cortland, had punched Karl in the face multiple times causing the glasses he was wearing to break and injuries to his face.
Another suspect, 30 year old Frank G. Tchezama, listed as homeless in Cortland, also punched Karl in the face multiple times as well.
Karl, though, was responsible for “slapping” a cigarette out of Robert William’s mouth. Karl did agree to fight one person involved, but was upset overall that two people fought with him instead.
The entire fight began due to Karl being upset over the length of time Travis Thompson was taking to use the bathroom, which then led to the others involved in the fight to be upset with Karl being the “Bathroom Police.”
All four suspects were arrested by CPD and were charged with multiple violations and misdemeanors. Williams, Tchezama, and Doktorich were all released with appearance tickets while Thompson was turned over to Dewitt Police to face an outstanding warrant.
