Village rec updates on “Happening in Homer” (audio)

Local News, On Demand, What We're Talking About

On Thursday’s edition of our “Happening in Homer” segment:

Village recreation director Zach Pollak went over some updates including the status of summer and fall youth sports, along with more activities being planned in the near future.

Pollak was one of seven village employees that were furloughed back in April, all of whom were restored to their position at the end of July.

The stripped-down budget also involved cutting of several programs and events like the Summer Music Series and Bluegrass on the Green.

Pollak said he’s happy to be back at work and hopes to restore as many engagement opportunities for residents as possible as time rolls on, but admitted that much will depend on the continued evolution of COVID-19.
