Village of Homer to Hold Public Hearing For Village’s Intent to Apply For CDBG Funding Towards New Water Tank
During Tuesday evenings Village of Homer Board of Trustees meeting, the board approved a resolution to schedule a public hearing on July 22nd regarding the village’s intent to apply for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding for a new Newton Waterworks Water Tank.
The application by the village will be for the 2025 program year. New York State announced over $24 million dollars in funding is available through the grant with $20 million dedicated specifically to public infrastructure projects. The Village of Homer is required as part of their application process to hold a public hearing to gather input.
The public hearing will be held prior to the start of the Trustees next regular meeting on Tuesday, July 22nd at 6pm.
