Update: The project has been delayed to Monday, April 10th
The Village of Homer DPW has announced the start of the village’s sidewalk project. DPW crews will begin on James Street near the Route 281 intersection and work their way down to Main Street.
Crews will be working on the sidewalk on the south side of the street. The DPW urges caution to driver’s in the area. Crews are not expected to be working on the street, but in the proximity.
The sidewalk work is part of the village’s Walkable Homer project, which is a project to replace broken sidewalks and ones that have been depleted. The Homer DPW looks to replace about 7,000 feet of sidewalk this season.
