The Village of Homer is providing a few garbage and recycling updates for this week’s pickup to help Village residents who may have a few questions.
Garbage and recycling pickup will occur on their regularly scheduled day for this week, but the village is asking residents to ensure it is done properly by providing a few tips.
- Placing all wrapping paper in garbage containers
- All boxes must be folded and completely within the containers with lid closed
- Garbage and recycling be placed curbside by 6am the morning of pickup.
- Glass containers go in garbage tots or clean glass be brought to the DPW site
- All lids must be closed, if you need a new lid you may call the village officers at 607-749-3322
- No garbage or recycling is allowed to be left next to the containers
- Do not place containers in the roadway
