The Village of Homer has announced their public Village office hours will be changing times. The offices will remain open Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and then on Fridays, 8:30am to 1pm.
The change of hours is to test the hours to correspond with the Town of Homer’s hours, which both will now have the same hours.
The Village of Homer, though, does stress that village employees will remain working, but will now use the time to focus on office work for the Village of Homer as the village is currently short staffed.
Currently, the new hours are being conducted as a test run and will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees during their board meeting on March 28th. Residents with additional questions may call the Village of Homer at 607-749-3322.
Additionally, if the changes become permanent, the Village Offices will be open on the last Friday of each month from 8:30-4:30pm to ensure the office is open for all deadlines.
