Village of Homer Mayor Names Newest Trustee
During last night’s Village of Homer Board of Trustees meeting, Homer Mayor Pat Clune named the next Trustee for the Village of Homer. The seat was open after the resignation of Trustee Kevin Slack, who resigned last month due to him moving out of the Village of Homer.
Mayor Clune appointed Homer Resident Elizabeth “Liz” Arnold as the next Board of Trustee with unanimous approval from the rest of the board. Trustee Arnold began her role during last night’s meeting and provided input towards the village’s EV charging issues.
The charging stations located behind the Village of Homer Recreation Department will be needed to be replaced in the near future as parts and maintenance for the charging station for the particular unit the village has is no longer available. The EV charging station, which has two chargers, was installed back in 2017. Trustee Arnold, who owns an electric vehicle, will conduct further research to determine which charging station will benefit the village residents.
