The Village of Homer Board of Trustees has announced a special meeting scheduled for 5pm this evening, March 19th. The village says the meeting is to have the board vote for a new paper of record. The move comes after the sudden closure of the Cortland Standard last week.
State law currently requires publication in newspapers for Public Notices, but efforts remain ongoing in the State Legislature to allow online publication of said notices.
