The village of Homer announced the appointment of a new Treasurer last week.
Mayor Hal McCabe and the Village Board of Trustees welcomed Tanya DiGennaro in on Friday (October 12) as the new Village of Homer Treasurer, replacing Interim Treasurer Donald Ferris who retired back in July.
DiGennaro most recently served as the Finance Director for the United Way of Broome County, where she also managed their VITA program for five years.
Before that, she worked as a staff accountant and auditor for 11 years with Piaker and Lyons, PC, where her primary focus was working with government and non-profit clients.
“Tanya is a wealth of knowledge and experience and will be an amazing asset to the village and our residents,” Mayor McCabe said. “She has already jumped in and started getting things sorted out and put new processes into place. She’s a wonderful addition to our team.”
