Village of Homer Amnesty Day Date Changed

Amnesty Day for the Village of Homer has been changed. During the Village of Homer Board of Trustees meeting last night, the Trustees approved changing the date of Amnesty Day for village residents from May 18th to now Saturday, April 20th.


Amnesty Day will be open at the Village of Homer’s composite site on North Fulton Street from 8am to 4pm. Residents will have to show proof of residency within the village.

Items to be accepted include white goods such as stoves, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, metal wasters, and lumber or anything made of wood.

Any item that may contain refrigerant must have a certificate of purging included. Items that will not be accepted include: tires, TV’s, microwave ovens, computers, batteries, or any type of garbage.
