The Village has announced the date for its upcoming amnesty day. The amnesty day, which is only for village residents and will require identification verification, will be on Saturday, May 13th from 8:30 to 4pm at the composite site on North Fulton Street.
There will not be any curbside pickup for amnesty day. Items that will be accepted are listed below:
- White goods (stoves, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, etc.)
- Metal wastes
- Lumber or anything made of wood
The compost site will also be opened. Any tree wastes, cement blocks and bricks may be able to be dropped off at the compost site.
It is also noted any item that may contain refrigerant must have a certificate of purging included.
Items not allowed include: Tires, Tv’s, Microwaves, Computers, Batteries, or Garbage.
The Village of Homer also reminds residents that no recyclables will be allowed, but will have to go curbside during your weekly trash pickup.
