The Cortland Professional Firefighters Association, Crossfit Cortland, and JTM Ruck Club are holding a Veteran’s Day fundraiser workout for clear path for Veterans.
The event will take place on Sunday, November 13th at Crossfit Cortland to do the “Hero Workout CHAD” to honor veterans, raise money and bring a public consciousness of veteran healthcare, TBI, and Post Traumatic Stress Injuries and Suicide.
Kevin Van Donsel, who served his country for 5 and a half years before retiring with 100% disability due to PTSD and traumatic brain injury. Kevin sadly lost his life after a long struggle with PTSD earlier this month, he was only 37 years old.
Clear Path is a support system for veterans and their families, no matter what situation they are in. Founded in 2011, Clear Path offers supportive community, programming, and direct services with a mission to enrich the lives of veterans while also addressing the wellness and social issues they face.
The “Hero Workout CHAD” consists of 1000 step-ups either weighted or bodyweight only. More information on the workout can be found HERE.
