Someone helped themselves to items from locked vehicles at Labrador Mountain in Truxton on Sunday. Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies ask for any help…the thefts occurred during the day, perhaps early afternoon.
The crooks smashed windows and grabbed what they could. Call deputies if you can help. Their advice? Lock your vehicle and keep valuables out of sight.

Brief Narrative of Incident:
On February 20th of 2022, Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were called to investigate multiple complaints in regards to the theft of items from locked vehicles parked in the parking lot of Labrador Mountain in the Town of Truxton. All incidents involved the windows of vehicles being smashed and items removed from within the vehicles. The thefts had occurred during the daylight hours of February 20th, 2022.
This investigation is on-going and anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or who may have information related to these incidents is asked to contact the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office – Criminal Investigation Division at (607)758-6151.
As a reminder, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office would urge all citizens to make sure their vehicles are locked and when possible items of value are left home or kept on your person.
