Vehicle Crash Finds Driver Impaired by Drugs; Also Found in Possession of Drugs

On Sunday morning, February 4th, around 7:11 am, officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a personal injury vehicle accident on Freetown Hoxie Gorge Road in the Town of Freetown.

After officers arrived and began their investigation into the crash, it was determined the operator of the vehicle, 27 year old Pietta M. Goodall, was driving while impaired by drugs. The Sheriff’s Office says her impairment led her to travel off the roadway and crash into a telephone pole.

Goodall was arrested by officers and was then found to be in possession of drugs. She faces charges of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Speed not Reasonable, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd, and 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

She was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where she was processed and later released with appearance tickets. Goodall is due in Freetown Town Court later this month.
