Vehicle Complaint on Route 41 in Cortlandville Leads to DWI Arrest

An Albany woman was charged with DWI, a Misdemeanor, and traffic infractions following a vehicle complaint on Route 41 in the Town of Cortlandville. Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of the complaint around 6:10 in the evening on Tuesday, November 18th.

Officers located a vehicle stopped on the side of the roadway with no hazard lights on. The driver, 51 year old Amy B. Ploof of Albany, was determined by officers to be driving while she was intoxicated.

Ploof was arrested on scene and transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was arraigned via the Centralized Arraignment Process and released on her own recognizance. Ploof is due in Cortlandville Town Court next month.
