USDA to increase funding for school meals

The United States Department of Agriculture announced today (January 7) that $750 million will be distributed to schools across the country to stay even with the cost of food operations while ensuring kids receive healthy meals at school. 

“USDA understands that balancing the pressures of the pandemic with the need to feed children healthy and nutritious meals continue to be a priority for schools across the country,” said Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.
