The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York on Tuesday (November 23rd) evening announced a Cortland County man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually exploiting a 3-year old child back in 2018.
Lawrence Berry, 28, of Cortland is facing 30 years behind bars and 25 years of post-release supervision. He will be required to register as a sex offender.

“As part of his previously entered guilty plea, Lawrence Berry, 28, admitted that he conspired with Brittany Berry to sexually exploit a 3-year-old minor child in August and September of 2018 and that he directed Brittany to sexually exploit the child on five different occasions for the purpose of creating and sending images and videos (live and recorded) of the sexual abuse over the internet.”
The FBI and the City of Cortland Police Department investigated the case.
His accomplice, Brittany Berry, who has plead guilty to her role in the offense and is scheduled to be sentenced in December 2021.
