Due to the high volume of positive covid cases, it might take a couple days for the health department to contact you regarding isolation. People who test positive for covid are asked to self-isolate immediately.
If you test positive for covid from a home test, you can alert the health department by completing the new Home-Test Reporting Form.
Cortland County is following the isolation guidance from the CDC: if you test positive, isolate for 5 days. If you’re asymptomatic after the 5th day, you are released from isolation but must wear a well-fitted mask around others for the next 5 days.
The Home-Test Reporting Form can be found here.
