Work continues to move along both on Main Street and Groton Ave. in the City of Cortland and with that, there will be multiple street closures as well as reopenings, according to Crown City Rising.
On Main Street, the intersection to Central Ave. is expected to be reopened after crews worked on relocating utilities underneath. On the east side of Main Street, the installation of new storm sewer lines will continue between Central Ave. and Clinton Ave. There will also be work on West Court Street as prep work is being done for paving early next month.
The intersection of Clayton Ave. and Main Street will be closed today in order to allow crews to install storm sewer lines on the West side of Main Street from Clayton to West Main Street. Parking disruptions are expected.
For Groton Ave. work will continue between Main and Monroe Heights for sanctuary sewer lateral installation to properties on Groton Ave.
