Last Sunday, X101 reported of a motorcycle crash on I81 South just past the exit 11 on-ramp with the operator of the motorcycle in the roadway.
After conducting an investigation of the accident, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office have charged 46 year old Anthony J. Minielli with driving while intoxicated. Minielli was also operating the motorcycle with a suspended license.
He was transported after the accident via medivac to Upstate Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
On top of being charged for driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license (both misdemeanors) Minielli was also charged with consumption/alcohol in a motor vehicle, improper plates, uninspected motor vehicle, speed not reasonable and prudent, operating out of class, unsafe tire, no distinct plate, drove across hazard markings, unregistered motor vehicle, and operating without insurance. All of which are traffic infractions.
He was issued appearance tickets and is due in City Court on June 27th.
