State Police Friday morning released more information about that chase on I-81 that ended Tuesday afternoon with a 21-year old man from the Bronx rolling over his small car as he tried to get off the interstate at exit 10.
Troopers report an officer had stopped Noel Budram a little after 3 pm, after observing his vehicle traveling at more than 100 miles an hour.
Officers say he gave them a fake name and took off before crashing and then trying to run away. He and his two passengers were not injured, according to police.
Troopers charged him with reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing, false impersonation, obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
Troopers revealed that Mr. Budram was wanted on a arrest warrant for absconding from parole.
Budram was sent to the Cortland County Jail awaiting his next day in court.
