A public forum has been announced for Thursday, May 2nd from 3 to 5pm at Corey Union Room 209 on the SUNY Cortland Campus. The forum will be in regards to helping the homeless population in Cortland.

In a release, Director of the Institute for Civic Engagement at SUNY Cortland, John Suarez says the purpose of the forum is to generate viable solutions in improving the lives of the unhoused, with a focus on housing.

Opening remarks for the forum will be conducted by SUNY Cortland professor Pamela Poulin and City of Cortland Mayor, Scott Steve. After opening remarks, a brainstorming session will take place.

If enough people attend the public forum, groups will be formed to further discuss possible solutions with a debrief wrap-up session happening afterwards.
