Unwanted Text Messages Lead To Arrest By Troopers; City PD Looking For Man Wanted For Stealing Car

New York State Police Homer tell us they’ve arrested Jeffrey Harris, age 53, Alpine, NY on Tuesday. (July 17th)

Harris is accused of sending numerous, unwanted text messages to a victim over several weeks.

After an investigation, he was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of Aggravated Harassment.

He was arraigned in the town of Cortlandville Court and is set to reappear today.

An order of protection was issued to the victim.


Cortland City Police have announced this weeks warrant Wednesday.

Police are looking for David Bucanelli. He has an active arrest warrant in the Cortland City Court. The warrant was issued on June 29th.

Police say he stole a motor vehicle from Pendleton Street address on June 23rd.

Warrant Wednesday is a partnership between the Cortland Police Department and citizens to bring wanted criminals to justice.
