On September 28, the Ithaca Police Department joined the New York State Police, Cornell University Police, and New York Department of Motor Vehicles in a day of enforcement against the illegal sale of alcohol to minors.
During their day of investigation, they did find and hand out several violations in the Ithaca area.
The Plumb Tree restaurant on Dryden Road reportedly sold at least one alcoholic beverage to a person under the age of 21.
There were also 14 people inside Silky Jones Restaurant and 34 inside Moonies bar–both on The Commons–who were found to be in possession of a drivers license that was either fake or belonged to another person.
All violators were issued appearance tickets to Ithaca City Court.
