Two streets in the City of Cortland will be getting brand new curbing, amongst other infrastructure upgrades during this construction season for the City of Cortland Public Works Department.
Deputy Superintendent Billy Lund said to X101 the two streets will be Arthur Ave. and Grant Street. He informed X101 the two streets were chosen as both streets have the most disturbance in utility upgrades.
“These two streets are getting all new gas lines installed, and Arthur Ave. will be getting a new water main as well.” Lund said to X101.
Additionally, the city recently approved funding for the addition of 78 new ADA curb ramps. A majority of the new ramps will be in close proximity to streets that are being repaved this year.
