The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office has announced the recovery of two stolen vehicles.

One of the reported stolen vehicles was from Cayuga county and the other in the Town of Homer.
This past Tuesday, (October 2) Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen vehicle at an address on E. Homer Baltimore Road in the Town of Homer. Officers determined that the vehicle was reported stolen on September 29th from an address on Route 41A in Cayuga County.
During the investigation police determined that Joshua M. Strauf, was in possession of the stolen vehicle in the Town of Homer.
Later in the day on October 2nd, the Sheriff’s Office received another stolen vehicle complaint from E. Homer Baltimore Road in the Town of Homer.
This stolen vehicle was later located unoccupied in the Town of Truxton. Deputies also determined he was in possession of this stolen vehicle while in the Town of Cincinnatus.
Strauf is currently in the Cortland County Jail with no bail on unrelated charges.
He was arrested while already in jail for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
He’s due to return court on November 16th in the Town of Homer.
The arraignment in the Town of Cincinnatus is pending.
