The accused are 33-year-old Joseph Osborne of Jefferson Road in Cortland and 29-year-old Isaac Nyugen from Tampa, Florida.

Police were originally called to the Shoe Dept. store on Bennie Road in Cortland, where Nyugen was attempting to return two pairs of Timberland boots that had been purchased at the Ithaca store. They later caught up to and pulled over Nyugen in his vehicle on Main Street and arrested him.

While that was going on, Deputies got another call about two fake $100 bills that Osborne used at the Taco Bell in Cortland.

They arrived and found him with the food he ordered and receipt, along with more counterfeit money.

Osborne will appear in Cortland County Court this Wednesday (July 3) and Nyugen was sent to Onondaga County to face charges for his crimes there.
