Two local businesses have been authorized by the Common Council to receive funds from the Microenterprise Assistance Program. Those businesses are Bernard Custom Logo and The Vault Grand Venue, both are located on Main Street.
The City of Cortland was awarded $200k in Community Development Block Grant Microenterprise funds to then administer a Microenterprise Assistance Program (MAP) within the city. Funding from the program requires businesses that apply to be rated and then reviewed by the MAP Review Committee with the committee then making recommendations of funding to the Common Council.
Both Bernard Custom Logo and The Vault Grand Venue will receive $30,000 each from the program. The Common Council voted unanimously to approve the award to both businesses.
